About

Jasmin Figueira is a choreographer, instructor, and dancer, whose versatility and tenacity drive her success. She has choreographed, performed, and toured internationally, as well as numerous appearances in television, film, and print.

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, this charismatic and commanding presence launched her professional dancing career at the age of 15 in Paris and Chantilly, France.

Her love for performing started at only four years old, as she began training in classical ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and tumbling. She soon advanced to pointe and pas de deux, while also studying French cabaret and burlesque, hip hop, Afro-Modern, Samba, Argentinean Tango, fire dancing, and stilt walking. 

She teaches special needs dance classes to children and adults for Theatre Bethune, the nation's first professional program committed to empowering the "differently-abled."  Figueira is also partnered with The Andrea Rizzo Foundation, helping to expand pediatric dance therapy in hospitals and schools to children with cancer and special needs on the West Coast.  She provides choreography and private lessons with the artistic development company, SOS Artistry, in jazz, latin jazz fusion, and burlesque, as well as teaching workshops and competition routines around the country.

Figueira has choreographed for the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, Dell computers, Disney, and you can find her on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars with Sheila E, in No Doubt’s comeback music video, “Settle Down,” and continuing to tour the US and Canada with Biz Markie and Nickelodeon’s Yo Gabba Gabba Live! She is featured as a dancer and model in Sports Illustrated, Maxim Magazine, and a 16-month swimsuit calendar.

Other artist credits include Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, The Roots, B.O.B., E-40, Barry Manilow, Earth Wind & Fire, Selau and The Federation, Gift of Gab of Blackalicious, and Bootsy Collins.

Figueira holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, with a minor in Public Relations. 

Her passion for enticing audiences from such a young age have always fueled her love of performing, allowing her freedom of expression, but also the ability to touch peoples’ lives, simply through the art of what she loves.
